I don’t compete often, but when I do…

I was privileged to be asked by Hallie Kuperman, owner of the Century Ballroom, to participate in this year’s Seattle Dances! dance competition and fundraiser for Plymouth Housing Group. Local celebrity dancers were paired with social dance instructors to perform Lindy Hop, Salsa, West Coast Swing, Tango and more. My partner, the indomitable Mark Dyce-Ryan, took a chance on love and agreed to perform a Charleston routine with me. Mark brought all his focus, determination, and energy to bring down the house. I am so proud of him and all the work he put in, not only to the dance, but to bring in lots of cold hard cash to support Plymouth’s great work.

Read about the night in the Puget Sound Business Journal. For Facebookers, check out our video!

Thanks to Mark, Plymouth Housing Group, the Century Ballroom, all the celebrity and professional dancers, cyber-voters, donors, and supporters! It was a fun, memorable, and rewarding night!
